The NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery.  NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing, online case-based simulations, and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.

Step One:
Online Exam (3-4 hours)
 Complete the online testing,Can be purchased at http://www2.aap.org/nrp/

print out the online certificate, and bring to skills testing.  You have 90 days after the online testing to complete an instructor led event.

Step Two: Instructor Led Event Length:

All participants will participate in hands on performance skill stations for all skills and integrated skill stations. The integrated skill stations will focus on communication, teamwork, and combining the NRP algorithm. You must bring your online certificate to the instructor led event.

Step Three: Provider Status

After completion of part two, the participant will log back into their Healthstream account, complete the evaluation and receive their American Academy of Pediatrics™ Neonatal Resuscitation Program electronic card. All AAP-NRP cards for the 7th edition are issued through Healthstream electronically.

CEU credits

The CE credits will be issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics™ after you complete part one of the online exam. Log into your account and claim the credits after completion.
